Touring Talk: cycle touring on a shoestring budget
I am surprised and amazed at how many bears you saw while cycling, particularly along the well travelled Icefields Highway. But even more interesting is your thoughts on choosing a colleague for a cycling trip, even if you have only been dating for four months. A fun and inspiring story. Thanks.
The fact that Ben and Leann took off after just beginning a relationship is an amazingly big step so early on. They appear to have figured out the right rhythm for a cycling duo and I’m happy to report that they’ve made it all the way to Anchorage.
As for bears…Canada’s full of them. We’ve seen 25 so far, including 2 grizzlies, although we haven’t been charged as was the case with Ben and Leann.
Yep, those two are pretty amazing! They seemed perfectly suited to each other.
