A couple of logistical questions (which might be covered elsewhere): when flying with your bike when overseas, do you just wheel it to check-in and put in on as-is? How do you check-in your panniers – loose? Do the 3rd world airlines have strange requirements (e.g boxes)? I assume you you just “don’t tell” about the fuel container (empty, obviously, but still against most regs).
hi folks ive been following you for some time now and hats off to you! My question is what do you take for tools and spare parts? Also how about banking and such, im leaving in a month to bicycle central and south america, cheers Mark
Hello, I am very new to this. I am not an avid biker, however, there is a very big bike tour leaving from Berkley California to Bahia Brazil this year. My instructor is Mestre Acordeon, we are involved in a martial art from Brazil called Capoeira, I would like to go with him on this trip, I have very little money at the moment, and know with the amount of hours I work would not be able to save enough in time, so, as far as sponsors and preparing, can you point me in a good direction? Love your site, thank you!
