Other helmets I've worn have all felt too heavy on my head and I couldn't stand wearing them for more than a few hours. The Melrose uses a special zipmold design that gives it a higher strength to weight ratio than traditional helmets. We've been using the same folding bowl for 7 years and it is just as strong and sturdy as the day we bought it. Two 10 liter water bladders from Ortlieb work for us. We've been using the same water bladders on a regular basis since 2009 and they are still in excellent condition. \u00a0We store them with the top open to prevent mold and mildew from taking hold. \u00a0When full, the water bladders can be attached to your bike fairly easily. \u00a0Our bladders have a shower nozzle which is great for washing away the dirt at the end of the day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-7181-5\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-7181-5-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-7181-5-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"9\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Sawyer Mini Water Filter<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sawyer.com\/products\/type\/water-filtration\/\">Sawyer water filters<\/a> are incredibly small, surprisingly easy-to-use and very reliable. They're great for multi-year bicycle tours because you can use them for up to a decade without needing to replace anything.<br \/>Sawyer filters are certified for ABSOLUTE microns which means it's impossible for harmful bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae and Salmonella typhi (which cause Cholera and Typhoid) to pass through.<\/p>\n<p>What's most incredible is that there's no pumping, no chemicals, and minimal waiting.
